The morning session will focus on vertical course alignment with emphasis on industry certification attainment and will provide CTE teachers with an understanding of how courses are selected and sequenced for each pathway. Teachers will learn how to navigate the TEKS for each course and develop curriculum so that key content for certification attainment is covered with greater depth and intensity at each grade level so that certification content is taught throughout the 4-year sequence for each pathway. The afternoon session will focus on key components and accountability of the CTE program and will provide participants with resources and techniques for best practices in CTE including: 1) Non-negotiable: Curriculum; Work-based learning; College and Career Readiness; Labs and project organization.
